Hello
My name is Katelyn Mader, and I am a 2026 graduate of Shippensburg University with a BA in English, concentrated in Professional and Creative Writing, along with minors in both Spanish and History. I have spent my time here building my skills and curating some of the most meaningful relationships for both my career and my personal life. Join me as I share who I am and how I got here!
My Story
The act of storytelling has had a strong influence on who I am today, dating all the way back to my mother reading me bedtime stories. Not only do I enjoy hearing the stories of others, but I also want to be the one to share and promote these stories, as was shown when I eventually demanded that my mother let me read to her and not the other way around. I've explored many other fields such as the sciences, but I have never lost the desire to share the stories of both myself and others.
I believe that everyone should have the chance to share their voice and to grow their community, and so it is my mission to find my niche in the world where I can help individuals and groups do exactly that. With this as my goal, I have also expanded my knowledge in a multitude of fields, such as more officially with foreign language and history in my college classes, and unofficially with my personal reading and general research of the sciences and world culture, so that my expertise can find a role in as many different visions as possible.
