Welcome to my professional portfolio! Listed here is just a few of the writing and publishing projects I have accomplished during my career so far. Showcased are the physical manifestations of my skills as a communicator, a writer, and a publisher. The Reflector
Over my senior year I worked with my group as Editor-in-Chief to create the 2025-2026 edition of The Reflector, which has been a tradition at Shippensburg University since 1957. By providing a space for student creativity, we created opportunities for students to be published, as well as gained firsthand experience into the specifics of publishing.
Not only have I gained technical skills in the creation of these publications, but I also strengthened my collaboration and leadership skills by taking on this position after two years of assistance in previous Reflectors.
Collaboration with SMP
Combined with a group of three other people within our Advanced Tech Writing class to create Conservation Communication Co., we collaborated with South Mountain Partnership, or SMP, in a semester-long project to provide potential revisions or additions to their State of the Region report in order to make it more accessible to the local community.
While our group mostly focused on condensing Chapter 5 and 6 of the report, it was a testament to playing with language in order to both retain specific meaning and be accessible for non-experts in the field, on top of our communication skills both among each other and with SMP on project updates.
Write the Ship
As a member of the editorial team, I worked on the academic journal of Shippensburg University, Write the Ship. Professors would nominate student papers for submission, and our team would go through and rank them to decide which would be published. Afterwards, we would edit the book and publish it for the students to see their work.
This book was a work of collaboration among the editorial team to decide on student submissions, as well as a practice of editing academic papers and other technical forms of writing.
